Laurelen Müller serves as the Executive Director of Speak for the Unborn. She helps to implement the big picture vision and mission of the ministry in every capacity, oversees administrative volunteers, trains & equips Network Churches, and plans organizational development.
Laurelen has felt called to pro-life ministry for as long as she can remember. Whether it was participating in baby bottle campaigns or volunteering for pregnancy resource centers growing up, or counseling teenage girls to choose life and walking alongside of them every step of the way while teaching at an inner city high school right after college, in every season of life the Lord provided ways for her to serve in pro-life ministry.
Laurelen began working for Speak for the Unborn in January of 2018 as Associate Director of Development, then was promoted to Executive Director in February of 2019. She formerly served weekly for two years with the sidewalk team in Louisville, KY. She is currently working to build a team and Network of churches where she now lives and attends church.
She is a graduate of Thomas A. Edison State University (B.A.) and also received a Master of Music in Music Education from Butler University at 19 years old. In addition to her ministry work with Speak for the Unborn, she works as a Birth Doula, Midwifery Assistant, and Student Midwife (CPM). She and her husband, Michael, live in Indianapolis, IN with their four children (Trippe, Olivia, Theodosia, and Avalyn), and are members at Pennington Park Church.
Matthew Harper serves as Network Church Mobilizer at Speak for the Unborn. He helps coordinate volunteer sidewalk counselor efforts, trains and equips network churches, contributes to S4U’s blog, and spearheads new pro-life regional initiatives.
Matthew has served with Speak for the Unborn on the sidewalks of Louisville’s abortion clinic since 2018. His passion for pro-life ministry began at a young age by participating in baby bottle fundraisers and has carried over to a lifelong desire to see babies saved, the Gospel proclaimed, and the hearts of abortion-minded women and men reached for Christ. During his undergraduate degree, Matthew served as the president of Boyce College’s pro-life student organization and led a team to mobilize and assist pro-life efforts in Louisville and around the country.
Matthew received his M.Div from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and his B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies through Boyce College’s seminary track program. His long-term goal is to serve as a pastor at a local church, shepherd the flock, and faithfully preach the good news of Jesus Christ. He and his beautiful wife Katie currently serve at Immanuel Baptist Church in Louisville, KY.
