“One of our sidewalk counselors approached a mother and her friend as they were still in the car (I’ll call the mother ‘B’). They were surprised that he went out of his way to speak to them. They were very open with him in sharing what the mother was going through. He worked through the issues together with them and expressed his concern while offering help and sharing the gospel. The mother claimed to be a Christian, so he appealed to her on that basis. The clinic had already taken $700 from them for the first abortion pill, and they were low on money. This brother offered to pay it back. They said that they needed some time to think. He waited on the sidewalk and prayed, and eventually they honked back at him. They’ve decided to keep the baby!”

“Our team reached out to mom as she was walking into the building. She turned back to look in a manner as if she was hesitant about her decision. Dad drove off to park in his truck unknown to us at that time. Time went on and we noticed a different man who arrived at the abortion building with two women started taking a walk behind the alley. One of our team members decided to walk around to have an opportunity to speak with him. That man was nowhere to be seen but the other man who dropped off the young lady in his white truck was parked near the back alley. This led to an opportunity for the team member to have a long conversation getting to know dad, their concerns, their heart behind abortion, their family support, practical needs and conversing about the gospel.
Both mom and dad were born and raised in Christian homes and the Lord was convicting them. We encouraged dad to text message mom while there is still hope for their baby. As time went on, another conversation began between dad and a different team member. At the end of the conversation dad said, ‘She just texted me back for me to come pick her up.’ They left to discuss their future and have a phone number to contact us if they would like to connect more. Praising God over here in Virginia!”

She already had a seven year old, but she said she was a Christian and that the Lord used us to convict her of her sin and to come out.”
