I have been removed from the sidewalks for a good amount of time. Every now and then I will appear. I have heard so many futile arguments as to why women have to right or choice to murder their child. Some arguments have been more futile and chilling than others. Although I have been removed from direct contact with the sidewalks and people who oppose life and ultimately God. I have come in contact with people outside of the sidewalk with similar feelings to abortion, the arguments are all the same and all for the same reasons. People hate the God who created them. More and more am I convinced daily that people would rather govern themselves, break their own moral standards, face the immediate consequences from their sin and remain in denial of the consequence to come.
All things are full of weariness;
a man cannot utter it;
the eye is not satisfied with seeing,
nor the ear filled with hearing.
What has been is what will be,
and what has been done is what will be done,
and there is nothing new under the sun.
Is there a thing of which it is said,
“See, this is new”?
It has been already
in the ages before us.
There is no remembrance of former things,
nor will there be any remembrance
of later things yet to be
among those who come after.
(Ecclesiastes 1:8-11 ESV)
The arguments continue to repeat themselves, each one thinking they have come upon some new and better argument to convince people that MURDER is okay. Sadly, even though the arguments are somewhat altered and worded differently, it has already been said. The eye is not satisfied and the ear is not filled with hearing. People love crafty, cool, trendy, ear tickling lies.
I do not have much else to say but I love people and I want every one to come to true knowledge found in Jesus through faith and repentance.
For not only has the word of the Lord sounded forth from you in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone forth everywhere, so that we need not say anything. For they themselves report concerning us the kind of reception we had among you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
(1 Thessalonians 1:8-10 ESV)
I just listened to this song and video and wanted to share it as well. The second verse of the song pertains to this blog. However, the song in general is probably applicable to everyone. If you are not big on rap music, listen anyway and turn your listening ears on.

(Edited because of use of language)
Seriously, Justin? You are going to try to call us out as repetitive and unchanging? Haven’t you and yours been spewing the same tired mythological rhetoric for like the last two thousand years?
Whatever.
Something amazing happened at the clinic this morning, though. As Andrew was preaching at folks waiting for the clinic to open, one of the clients engaged Andrew and asked if she could talk to him. He agreed and she explained that she was aborting her pregnancy due to financial reasons. Andrew offered to help her with whatever she needed. She asked for a check for $10,000 – the rough cost of expenses for the term of the pregnancy and birth process. She said if he could give her that money she would walk away and gladly keep her baby.
Andrew ignored her request. Then he belittled her for thinking money should be an issue (privileged much?). And then he ignored her request again.
Here was a clear case to actually follow through with the promises and “help” you pretend to offer every saturday on that sidewalk and you all FAILED miserably. It was a moment of absolute clarity that you are not out there to help anyone. You are there to condemn and judge and harass and stigmatize and guilt trip people that you deem less worthy of respect.
Andrew truly showed out this morning. And everyone saw it.
And it was ugly and hateful and revealed what S4U is REALLY all about.
Ken,
Our message remains the same because of many reasons. It is the truth from God’s word. He is the creator of life and has authority to speak about the issue of life, namely who is able to give life and take it away. When someone who is created places themselves into this role, they are saying they have the authority to decide and calling God a liar and incapable of making correct decisions. Our message also remains the same because, whether you choose to adhere to truth or not, science has continually confirmed that life starts at conception. In many people’s futility, they have tried to reason that life starts at many other points. (i.e. whenever the mother says the unborn child is real, then it is real; whenever the unborn child is born, then it is a child; whenever it is able to live outside the womb on its own, then it is a child) Many people who share your worldview about abortion also hold to the truth of science, yet deny science when the truth is inconvenient. Our message also remains the same because we are at peace with God, we know, love, obey, and follow Him. The reason that the arguments of the people I describe in the post do not change, even though they may at times sound different, is because they are enemies of God in rebellion to what is good, right and true and therefore are always at odds with Him and what He says. (Romans 5 for reference)
In regards to your comment on Andrew, I was not there and cannot speak directly about the situation. However, I have three things to say. First, I know Andrew and would never doubt his compassion for women who have their mindset on abortion. If he is able to provide help in anyway I know that he would. Second, money is not an issue. There are many ways to get help in covering medical costs in America, including many non-profit organizations. Lifehouse does this here in Louisville. A Woman’s Choice may even provide some. Churches could even possibly help in this area. My wife and I are actually considered “poor” by socio-economic standards and are having our second child in June. Kentucky has state insurance that pays these terms of pregnancy and birth costs, in full. Third, and sadly, I am not saying this is the case for this woman because once again I was not there, but I have been approached with a similar plea. Although the plea was not a cry for legitimate help, it was a set up to put someone on the spot. I am almost positive there is no way Andrew could have, nor would it have been wise, for him to hand this lady a check for $10,000. Discernment is needed everyday in many ways. If this woman truly needed help with finances, which she quit possibly could have, she could have gotten them. I do say this with sadness, somehow she had the funds of $650 or greater to pay to kill this child. If anyone is able to obtain those funds within a span of a few weeks, then it only takes a little less than 17 payments of $650 to distinguish the debt of $10,000, not mentioning different payment plans health-care providers have.
There is also information all throughout the site that details what S4U is really about, honoring Jesus mainly.
